Santa Monica Pier Classic w/ Record Numbers!
Paddlers, swimmers, and ocean athletes from all over California and beyond showed up in record numbers last weekend for the Annual Santa Monica Pier Classic and Festival!
Competitors were greeted with some challenging conditions. 2-4ft ocean swell and wind provided grueling conditions to challenge even the best.
Onlookers enjoyed stadium style views from the historic Santa Monica pier and had plenty to do with the festival taking place only steps from the beach. Live music, food vendors, hula dancers, and free shwag was all the happening adding to another fun day of racing!
Some of SUP’s brightest stars came to race including Honolua’s Anthony Vela and Dave Boehne along with Candice Appleby, Jim Terrel, Joe Bark, Byron Kurt, Jay Wild, Brandi Baksic, and Tucker Ingalls…
