It All Started In Maui...
Honolua was named after the mystical bay found on the Hawaiian Island of Maui’s western shore. A perfect right breaks along the point first passing the infamous and treacherous “Cave” and ending in the crystal blue waters of the bay where an abundance of sea life lives in tranquility.
Our Story
Tom Knapp and Randy Blumer started Honolua Surf Co. in 1995. They immediately set about building the business, first identifying an opportunity to develop a Hawaii-styled surf brand and growing the retail network. Today, Honolua Surf Co. has 9 retail locations across 4 islands plus an E-Com website. We did lose both Lahaina locations in the Maui fires, one of which was our original store in Kimo’s.
